Happy Birthday Dad (March 2)

It's always wonderful to celebrate a person's life. I have been so blessed to have a wonderful Father. He has been the best Dad! Here are a few drawings I found in Dad's trunk. Vote for your favorite and the winning picture will be framed and given to him.
I've always loved what great taste dad has! Such style. That includes the beard. I do miss the "wouldn't be caught dead without a tie" days though.
How and when did he make that transition?
When Dad visited us in Iowa he stood on his head for the kids (of coarse this was almost 10 years ago, we won't ask him to do it now). He also told a string of jokes, just perfect for toddlers. That's how Grandpa Silly got his title. If you have a favorite "dad" moment or memory you would like to share, either about my dad or your own, please do!

What a coincidence - I have the best dad in the world, too!
My vote is for "Hero" but you should frame all of them. He has his own room now...

You guys are wrong-I have the best dad! Oh wait...
Actually, I feel like a jerk because I talked to dad like 3 times on his birthday and didn't realize it was March 2 because I was stuck in Hawaii and thought it was still the 1st. When he said he was at your house having some kind of birthday dinner I was like, "your birthday isn't today is it?" Yep. I get the worst daughter award for that one!
I like Hero, too!

Those pictures are all wonderful. I love art of any kind. :) My vote is for the first one though! :)

Your 15 lbs. comment made me laugh! You are so tiny that it's probably a good thing. :) You look darling in your pictures, by the way. Don't you age??? (no fair)

Dad truly is the best dad. I brag about him all the time.
It's so hard for me to choose one favorite drawring....
It's also hard to pick just one memory of dad - Trappers games, telling the 'Reddy Fox' story on camping trips, seeing him at the wheel for endless hours on road trips, sitting on the stand and standing at the pulpit at church, making tacos (cooking), taking us to Rexall's and the Popcorn Palace, blessings and retreats, mowing the lawn, watching football games, crawling into bed with him after a nightmare and not being able to sleep because of his snoring, waiting for him to get home from his work trips and having him tickle us with is beardy kisses.... the list goes on.
