Feeling Pretty: Eyelashes & Stuff

The Estee Lauder Eyelash Primer Plus ($18) is great because it conditions and protects your lashes from mascara. You apply it as a base coat and then put on mascara. The primer keeps the mascara from damaging the lashes. You can also put it on before bed. I have also heard that vaseline and olive oil are really terrific for lashes, used the same way as the primer. Maybe that's all the primer is, a combo of vaseline and olive oil. I may give both a try. My dermatologist recommended very pure, the purest I can find, olive oil for my face! Luscious lipids I guess. Also, I have tried Jan Marini's eyelash conditoner but didn't see the results advertised. I used it as instructed for a few months and then gave up switching to a dedicated use of the primer. I have seen heathlier, thicker, longer lashes using the primer daily. I guess it could be the Marini, but I think it's the primer that made the difference. Protecting lashes from the damages of mascara seems to be key.

I really like the re-nutriv eye cream. I notice a hugh difference under my eyes when I use it...that coyote ugly morning look goes away almost immediately. This product, unfortuneately, is expensive. I also like the face creams, they smell good and moisturize well. I do want to find some really great olive oil - anybody know where to find some?

The line tamer is super cool. I don't necessarily have a "line" problem (except between my eyes where I am perpetually squinting and holding tension), but this stuff works like magic on the skin in general. It makes your skin look even and bright. It helps even out skin tones making your face look smooth. I notice it really helps with pores. If you have any areas on your face with larger pores, this stuff is amazing!
